What is ORSAM?

-ORSAM (Oregon Society of Addiction Medicine) is a state chapter of ASAM (American Society of Addiction Medicine)

 

Who is ORSAM?

-ORSAM is a large and diverse group of people in Oregon who work in the care for people with substance use disorders. ORSAM is operated by an elected board who serve time-limited terms. Upon registering as a member of ASAM, you automatically become a member of your respective state's chapter as well.

 

What does ORSAM do?

-Quite a lot, actually. ORSAM hosts regular forums inviting people together to discuss and collaborate in the treatment of substance use disorders. ORSAM also hosts lectures, CME, and social gatherings to encourage camaraderie and networking across the state.

 

How can I get involved?

-Easy! There are many opportunities to participate, whether it is during one of our regular online forums, at a social, working on policy, or serving on our board.
